shanzhai (山寨) é um neologismo de origem chinesa que significa “cópia”, equivalente à expressão “xing ling” no brasil - mas sem seu teor xenofóbico. popularmente tido como produtos de origem e qualidade “duvidosas”, é um termo associado à pirataria, por muitas vezes consistir em imitações de grandes marcas feitas com baixo custo. entretanto, o shanzhai pode também ser interpretado como uma prática de cunho subversivo, criativo e anárquico, operando por meio da hibridização e antropofagia de mecanismos que não se contrapõem, mas sim se complementam e transformam.
